Participatory Action and Community Empowerment (PACE) is a unit under the Resilience Development Initiative (RDI) that focuses on strengthening community voices through participatory research. We believe that effective policies are derived from an inclusive process, from listening, understanding, to amplifying the aspirations of those who are often marginalised, particularly vulnerable groups.

Effective and sustainable policies can only be achieved by incorporating the voices and needs of communities, especially vulnerable groups such as women, children, persons with disabilities, youth, and those affected by disasters or climate change.

  • Increased community capacity to address disaster and climate change risks.
  • More inclusive access to basic services through participatory approaches for vulnerable groups, including in maternal and child health, as well as child protection from climate change risks.
  • Enhanced youth participation in the energy transition and green economy.
  • Strengthened social protection and community-based advocacy.
